I ordered Wild Animal Baby Magazine for my 16 month old granddaughter as a Christmas gift. She received her first board book while I was visiting and she loved it. She loved the elephant on the front and was saying Elliott Elephant and wanting to read it as a bedtime story. It is exactly what a baby needs, bright colors on some pages. Very short questions such as find the other animal that is red and she loved being able to point to the pictures. She did not tire of it while I was there and even chose it to take to church services so she could look at it some more. Thanks for a great "small" magazine exactly right for babies.

She loves seeing baby animals and gets really excited when she gets Wild Animal Baby in the mail. The illustrations/photos are first class and it’s great having a hard cover because they get looked at all the time.

My 3 year old son recently received Wild Animal Baby magazine as a gift. I had never heard of the magazine until it arrived in the mailbox. If only I had known about it earlier. My son absolutely loves it. The pages are thick like card stock, so they really hold up well. The magazine is educational, fun, and entertaining. It is my top gift idea for any child 2 or 3. It is worth every penny!

Wild Animal Baby Magazine is such a Wonderful Children's Magazine! We initially began receiving this when our oldest daughter was 12 months old (gift subscription from her grandparents). Now she is 5 and enjoys "reading" it with her 18 month old little sister. It has become a tradition in our household! It provides a good introduction to animals with a variety of media--from photography to watercolors and other types of illustrated. The small size and heavy weight of paper are perfect for little hands. Overall highly recommended!!

I have been ordering Wild Animal Baby Magazine for my two younger children for years. They love to receive something in the mail, with their name on it. They look forward to reading and learning about the animals that are in the books. They both really love Sammy the Skunk. It helps make them notice small things on the pages, when the focus is on something else.
They love doing the hand movements to the songs, or the "Can Do?" challenges. As a mother, we all hope our children enjoy reading, and this is one magazine that starts them out not only reading, but really enjoying what they read. I have 5 boys, and the older ones have received "Big Backyard, and Ranger Rick" and I know I'll continue with those as my children grow. Thank you for all that you do with this magazine, it really is the best!!!!!

She has a strong interest in all sorts of animals, and Wild Animal Baby has an excellent variety of all sorts of animals around the globe that she enjoys learning about with each publication. The artwork is exceptional, bright & vivid colors abound, and the hunt for Sammy the Skunk in each issue is a real crowd pleaser at our house. Wild Animal Baby Magazine is a board-book style magazine published by the National Wildlife Federation. I ordered it for my son when he was 2 years old and it’s great because of the thick style pages, wonderful bright photos and great ideas inside each issue. No advertising, large print and easy activities all make it a perfect magazine for your young toddler. The pages are glossy and easy to clean if they are spilled on and very DURABLE. We carry ours in our backpack every where we go. It's just the right size for little hands! Each month they feature a baby animal with beautiful real photographs and a short story. Other material changes each month and features an early childhood concept. Some months you will have counting, other months focus on a beginning sound (and all the animals that start with that sound), opposites, and other skills are introduced. What a great introduction to a magazine.

We would read it together each month several times, but he would "read" it to himself in the car seat countless times on trips. Each magazine has great photos of animals with simple information about their lives as well as good activities to practice colors, shapes and numbers. I bought a subscription of Wild Animal Baby magazine for my 10-month old baby and he was quickly drawn to it. The animal photos are beautiful and captivating. He especially likes the song, with hand motions, that I sing for him from the magazine. The magazine includes nice simple stories, fabulous illustrations, concepts like color identification, searches and comparisons. What a great find! And to top it off the size of the magazine, 6 1/2" X 7", is perfect and the thick pages make it very hard for little hands to destroy. As a mother and a kindergarten teacher, I give this magazine 5 stars and I am planning on purchasing more subscriptions for other little ones I know.
